Your Duty as a CPDA Member

Dear comrades of the CPDA,

Effective immediately, there are further changes to our group policy. These changes have been implemented by the Central Committee of the CPDA, and voted into Policy by the Central Executive Committee, in an effort to better serve our goals and mission.

Hate Without ReasonPeace, justice, equality. Things Americans are proud to die for. But Communism?  They don't even want communists around them, let alone die for their system. But why? If people actually read the Communist Manifesto, perhaps they'd find out that their government was tricking them. That they were being lied to. That the people who have been ripping them off and exploiting them are now scapegoating and forwarding hate and aggression to innocent people who want the best for their citizens.

Soavist: The 5 Pillars of LifeThe 4 pillars of life: shelter, food, drink, and the Sun. Strange isn't it that we need these very bare basics to survive, and yet we can play God and add another pillar to survival of which changes everything completely. We have added money, if one does not have finances one simply cannot live, just as we can't without the original 4 pillars.

Modern Russia, land of frightening homophobia.

Hi everyone, this is NurIzin : "former Commissar, and observer"

I post this entry because I think there is a huge issue, problem in nowadays Russia people should be aware of : strong homophobia. Why I post this today is because a Russian person who immigrated to Belgium I know, recently shared a anti-gay video that will be linked here, from facebook, called "sodomy is not normal". By doing so this person particulary dissapointed me, but showed how strong this hate plea is.

While homophobia is a quite widespread phaenomena, I think it is worth to enlight the case of Russia. USSR years haven't bred left-winged people, nor taught tolerance. It should be noticed that Putin, the now leader of Russia, who is promoting the homophobic law that are now passed, was an agent of the KGB.

But let's come to the real issue : Recently, Russia passed a bill against "homosexual propaganda", that is clearly an act of discrimination against LGBT community : [link] and BBC article : [link]

Quite worrying, but here is a poll (made by a Russian website) about how homosexuals are seen in Russia : [link]

It is interesting to notice that while USSR was theorically a secular or atheist state, religion and traditionnal values are growing strong again, while in always-have-been-capitalist Western Europe, religion and traditionnal values tend to be mocked, at least when they are seen as extremist or backward point of views.
Interesting as well the fact they go in the opposite direction of Western Europe, where Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland legalized same-sex marriage (and in some cases child adoption). As well as France and UK, on the way of legalization as well (really recently passed in France, but with lot of tensions).

I wanted to post this entry as well to have a less American centered subject.
If there are Russians in this group, their testimonies or opinions would be most welcome

Why comrade no holiday? Maybe your country don't know what its means May day do they? Labor Day means to rally-up and shout our want as a worker and our people sake. Just strike, shout and rally, it is the labor holiday mean comrade. I mean to rejoys our rights as a worker and a human being. We will not lose anythings expect our chain of opression.

I'm looking into this problem. I have a theory that maybe our "Featured" folder is full, although I'll keep checking into it.

If anything, I'll have to make a "Featured II" folder or something.

It would seem that it was a folder capacity issue. I sorted the artwork in Featured, putting much of it in the correct folders. I also took the liberty of creating a Paintings folder and sub-dividing the Essential Reading Folder into relevant sections.
