Today november 9th the world celebrates the Fall of the Berlin Wall, the fall of a communism Bastille made by communists to keep East Germans enslaved and forbid freedom of movement and the freedom to flee a corrupt and tyranical regime in favor of the democracy and capitalism of the West. Communism undisputet proof of ultimate failure oppression!
Communism can not exist until the people and the government are indistinguishable. As one party rule is a dictatorship of an elite rather than a dictatorship of the whole people such a government can not evolve through socialism to communism. The one party state we found with Lenin resembled the Vatican in structure rather than anything found in Marx.
Have you ever talked to a Cuban refugee who had a wife and child in prison back in his homeland, and still had PTSD every time it rained because he didn't have a decent roof in Cuba? Have you prayed with a Buddhist monk who had is family killed in the Cultural Revolution in front of him? Have you ever debated socialized healthcare with a Ukranian whose sister died from a simple infection?
Marx never gave examples of communist countries, so naturally the first communist argument is, "B-but taht wasn't REAL communism!!1" Communism has never worked. It is the most evil thing on the planet, killing million more than capitalists could ever dream of.
Actually every person in africa dying due to hunger is killed by capitalism . No way communism killed more people than capitalism! There are millions of people starving everyday, even though there would be enough food but just not enough money. In my opinion it's the duty of every person of the western world to face this problems and find solutions. Communism is just one of the numerous ideas how to solve these problems.
Communism actually has worked, even in the past. Try to get some facts about anarcho-syndicalism in Spain during the Civil War. It shows how a communist society might look like - sadly, it was destroyed by Franco. The main difference to all the other socialist societies is that it wasn't implemented by a regime. Communism has to evolve from the proletariat and must be international, not just in one nation. There have been communists all over the world that allways protested against those wrong socialist systems.
Also, I don't see what should be so bad about "the Jewish Question". It's clearly not anti-Semitic, seeing that Marx himself was jewish.
Every person in Africa dying of hunger is because of how splintered socialist groups destroyed Africa. Take Zimbabwe for example. Mugabe got arms and training from the Soviet Union to fight white landowners. They enacted communist policies, kicking out every farm owner (or killing them/imprisonment). But they found out they didn't have farming education. They ate the crops, and when the yield wasn't high next season, they ate the seeds. There was no third season that could sustain them. Looking for money to buy food, they took the grounding wire from electrical lines. The first storm fried the power grid, so they scrapped everything. In the poorest parts, they scrapped the water pipes, too. Mugabe started printing money, and now it takes $100,000,000,000,000 Zim dollars to buy a meal. Somalia was a socialist dictatorship as well. And so were Congo and Angola.
True, but you can make the same argument for Afghanistan. A lot of the veteran Taliban commanders were trained by the US to fight the Soviets back in the 80s. And recall the extreme measures the South Vietnamese took to combatting communism in their own nation (such as that infamous photo of a summary execution of a suspected VC on the streets on Saigon). The US also supported a lot of sketchy dictatorships around the world in the 80s merely because they were anti-communist.
I acknowledge that communism is very flawed, but capitalism is also very flawed. I just see Communism as the lesser of two evils.
I think we agree on that. I know about us funding the Mijihadeen and the Taliban. Also, I agree with you about the Spanish communists: I'm not too familiar, I only read a little bit of Homage to Catalonia (which I was told dealt with the topic.) Franco did screw everything up. So, I think we agree in everything but seeing Communism as the lesser evil: I see capitalism as the lesser evil.
There are pages of quotes from his essays. He endorsed the seizure of land, and all property, of counter-revolutionaries. He was very pro-paranoia, as well: Check out his wonderful work, "On the Jewish Question."
What I'm saying is, Stalin was a perversion of communism. Even Lenin himself saw that, and didn't want Stalin taking over. As for Mao, I can understand why he felt such changes were necessary, though I will agree that he did end up getting FAR too carried away. And as for the seizure of land, surely some of the land would be returned to the owners. Granted, not all of it, but enough to live on.
i honestly have to say.......great work on the poster.i am not communist, capitalist, etc.the only thing i am really is an atheist, artist, and a small author that only comes out on this site.i don't hate communism.i honestly don't.everyone has their opinions and views and etc.hell,i kinda like stalin for kicking hitler's ass.i have a best friend who's a communist and russian.we don't talk politically to each other because it would ruin our friendship....so...why can't we all just get along?!
Communism has no place in the future because there is none in the present. China is second world power because of capitalism that brought prosperity, modernization and reduced poverty and eliminated famines.
Fuck communism. My parents are originally from the Soviet Union, the Moldovan SSR to be exact. The things I have heard of it is terrible. My grandfather and his father were both "purged" by Stalin, and were likely killed in a Siberian gulag. Communism is a terrible ideology and it will never work. I ask all who read this comment, please fight communism where ever it may be, in the name of those killed in the USSR, Eastern Europe, China, and around the world. Honor their memory my staying committed to freedom and democray
I may not be a communist, but having a friend who is really helps one to get where they come from. I mean, to be honest, the big problem with it (and the big reason it didn't work) was the fact that the government was too big. Now, I know government is the key to communism, but on such a large scale as the USSR, it doesn't work. Now in a Commune or a smaller entity such as a town, it can work fantastically. Like I said, I am not a communist, but I do see why it is a legitimate belief system and that it can work.
Communism is a nice idea that has failed to prove itself. Cuba is completely secluded from the world, the USSR killed millions for its survival, Vietnam is relatively poor despite its tourism, North Korea... do I have to comment on them, and China is moving towards a more Capitalist system.
The fuck yourself then, go live in a dictatorship if you think that democracy, the rule of the people,is bad. If communism was heaven then why did people hated it? Why did the workers and citizens revolted against it and refuse to vote till this day with the communist party of Poland? Ever tried to unfreeze that brain and use it? Or is rational thinking before speaking is to much for you?
well, I guess I have my rights to have my own opinion and if you are against, it doesn't mean you can insult me and tell me to fuck myself. Mymom was actually living in communism and I don't mean it was a heaven in every case but at least everyone was equal and everyone was able to work. That is what we missed nowdays. And you should be more respectful for others, no matter in the internet or live.
