To those reading this,
This entry is intended to act solely as an announcement of my candidacy for the role of Commissar of Internal Affairs in #communism
My reasons for wishing to do so are simple. I have been a member of the group for a while now, and feel it is my duty as an active communist to pursue a greater role in our movement. I feel it is especially important that I do this now, as I am very young. By stepping up at this age, I feel I can only have more time to make the difference we would very much like to see.
As for my qualifications, I have but a few which have been limited simply by the amount of time I've been on DeviantArt. I have been the Deputy Commissar of Internal Affairs for a relatively short time now, and I do believe I now understand the workings of the CPDA. I am also a co-founder of #OccupyDA
, which while it is not devoted to communism has given me a good idea of what a more complete leadership role is like. Because I have been the Deputy Commissar of Internal Affairs, I see it as a natural step for me to run for the full position.
I will be proposing some activist changes to the CPDA at our Congress in the coming week, and I feel that it is important we stick to many of the methods that have been working for us. However, I do believe that we need to foster more of an outreach with our group; communism is an idea which must be taught, otherwise it is nothing but fodder to those who won't naturally listen. We must be ready to show why our ideas are best for humanity, and we must be ready to educate those capable of learning. We must explain our purpose to any listening ears, whether extremely old or young.
At the same time, I believe many of our traditions as a group fit well. Our process for selecting works for the gallery seems to work in an efficient manner that allows us to weed out improper works, while making sure we get to see anything worthwhile. I'd like to think that we have a fair membership base for this site, and that we should continue our growth and prosperity as much as we can.
That is all for now, and thanks for reading.
