The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

At first I didn't wanted to "abuse" the party journal to find out your opinion on a curiosity of mine, but after a bit of thought I decided that this is an important enough question for it.
My question is about your wiews on such supranational organizations such as the EU, EEC, EFTA and similar political, military and economic organizations.
My reason for asking this is that I see a - for me - worrying tendency among us, that many of our comrades immediately, without much thought label such organizations wrong and harmful.
To avoid misunderstandings I too think that the EU, EEC etc. etc. are not organized and operated the way they should be, that they are creations of capitalist economic greed however I do not think that international integration is fundamentally wrong.
It is my strong belief that such organizations if reformed properly would be ideal tools of tearing down the walls that separate nation from nation, people from people. My thought is that instead of working for the dissolution of such organizations we should rather focus on shaping them to our thoughts and ideals. Now of course in many cases we do not have that opportunity, however for example those living in EU countries have all the right in the world to vote the good people into the European Parliment.
But that's enough of me, I'm curious about what you think in this matter.

The EU has done many good things, like helping to develop the area where I live.

However, they also prevent Britain from subsidising manafacturing. Why? I don't know, Britain is perfect right now for the manafacturing industry to rise again.

EU is a fine idea. The problem start already at the school. I live in Norway and our schoolsystem is being EUinfested. More and more theory, and lesser and lesser practicaly knowledge. This manifest itself in more people dropping out of college and the youtschool and the theoreticaly good people continue. This is the work off ignorance and ignorance on the very knowledge shaped by learning in practice and making stuff of planks.
The point is that to unify you must also be heavily towards wellfare. Something i see continue to lack in EU.

It is my belief that any pan-national or supranational organization must have at it's heart not just a cooperative financial or military interest, but a true and genuine care about the peoples that will make up the organization. It is all good to form a joint economic sphere or a military alliance. But for the supranational collective to really carry any meaning, it must take the concerns of the peoples living within it's greater reach into consideration. How one nation's people are compared to another. Who needs further development or support and who can provide it.

The attempt at uniting various cultures together without ethnic violence is an excellent goal, but again, the EU has turned into a capitalist powerhouse ( or was always a capitalist powerhouse). pan-ethnic unity along with socialist morality will have to be the tenets of whatever state we create, and we should carefully select from the EU the parts that make such a plan work.

I think on a similar way. Down here, we have the beginning of such an organization: UNASUL. But I worry we will become just another EU. Also, its members here aren't as unified as we seems to be and thus, this is the first time I agree with a american "specialist" in politics (his name escapes me, but I could try to dig that source out): "UNASUL is a pipe dream for now".
